Our group stayed in two separate beach Fale’s over the past New Years Week. We had some initial dramas with our luggage not arriving on the plane, but the staff at Coconuts couldn’t have done more (particularly Sio) to help, even bringing clothes of their own for us to wear.

The location is very special.

The bar and restaurant are exceptional, the staff always friendly and happy to help.

Rooms were great, step onto the sand.

We were all rapt, look forward to making our way back again soon.

Happy New Year.

We had a great stay at Coconuts. It has a relaxed atmosphere and we felt 'at home' in no time. The Treetops room was spacious and clean. Bed was super comfy. Especially liked the large deck with view of the pond. All the staff friendly and welcoming. Special fa'afetai to Talu (sp?) at the activities fale who always helped me learn a few words in Samoan.
The shading above the loungers at the pool were the best we've ever encountered at the many places we've stayed. They gave great sun protection for even a whole day by the pool!
All in all, Coconuts was a great place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful beach and surroundings.

On behalf of a beautiful newly wedded couple who are spending their honeymoon in Samoa right now. The service her and her husband received was absolutely appalling. So obviously they left. The staff who made them feel some type of way should be ashamed. How dare you treat our own people like this just because their on the heavier side? Coconut beach resort need to do better because if this is the kind of service your giving to people, obviously they dont know what customer service and customer satisfaction is.

Loved every minute I spent here. Beyond stunning location, rooms very immaculate and beautiful. And the service was outstanding; all of the staff did a fantastic job. Highly recommend, and can't wait to come back!

An absolutely stunning place to visit. The team at Coconuts are amazing, nothing was a problem, great senses of humor, very thorough. It really is paradise there. The rooms are spacious and well set out. Super comfy beds. The grounds are kept super clean, the water at the beach is crystal clear. Definitely recommend visiting

Everything about Coconuts is great! The incredible staff do a wonderful job of making you feel like family. One of the best and biggest resort beaches in Samoa with beautiful snorkeling. Spectacular food with a variety of both western an Samoan food available at all sittings. Would definitely recommend

The area is beautiful and I highly recommended for tourists and visitors. My only problem was the customer services. This happen 2 years ago, I was ordering food for my cousins and my fiancée. They were not happy to serve us to the point I ask the servers what wrong. She told us the manager is not happy because we are suppose to be in school. They really judge us cause we look young. I had to show them my ID, military ID, and passport. It’s a shame cause I’m a Samoan ‍️‍️‍️Clearly the owner is on defensive with my critique. I have people who witness how the servers treated us that day.

This is a really beautiful location. The room we had in the Treehouse was very clean, comfortable and spacious with a superb view over the gardens to the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant food and cocktails were great.

The Beach-front Fales are just metres away from the water. Great location. Warm and friendly staff.

Stopped in for lunch, very disappointed choices looked good on the menu, once again a high priced resort providing very average food with no love, atmosphere ok, on the deck over looking ocean, service was average.expected a lot more than we got.have had better.

Very friendly and accomodating staff. Cocktail on arrival, very quiet throughout the resort both day and night. The only thing that overwater the fale could have to make the stay better is a ladder which allow you to walk down or jump into the water directly.

A truly breathtaking place. Our overwater bungalow was faultless. We loved waking up to sea turtles and the most incredible views ever. Sadly, management is horrid. Our customer service experience was the worst and the terms of the stay including the package deal and payments are extremely misleading and deceptive. We would never return nor recommend this accommodation to any of our friends or family.

Pros: Main buildings beautifully built with intricate traditional design, workmanship and use of natural timbers and fibres, gardens beautiful, lush and well-tended, sand areas maintained, pool design and layout are lovely, and the female swim-up bar tender was one of the nicest resort staff we met. Restaurant set in a lovely large traditional building with the bar in the middle, well placed on the water’s edge, a couple of the numerous waitresses/waiters were lovely and attentive. Extensive use of natural and local materials (lava rock walls, bamboo, teak etc) in our accommodation (Coco Suites), air-con and two ceiling fans, room serviced daily (if required), two lovely large bamboo couches in sitting area, outdoor courtyard area, king bed with a mosquito net, light blocking roll-up blinds and a working safe (thank god!).
Cons: paving near restaurant/shop needs to be backfilled (trip hazard), poor lighting throughout the resort, pool needs to be a bit cooler, some of the furniture is way overdue for replacement or maintenance, pool lounge and chair mattress/cushions need to be washed as they were dirty and oily looking, ‘Disco Duck’ statue is out of place and an eye-sore, dirty ponds near treehouse suites are a breeding ground for mosquitos, the majority of the groundsmen were continuously on Samoan time and they made me nervous with their staring and often scabbing cigarettes off my partner. Not the quality of food you would expect for the high prices, presentation was a bit slap-happy, cocktails were average and ingredients not fresh, alcohol used sparingly and a lot of cracked and chipped glasses in circulation, tomatoes used extensively (which is a turn off for those who don’t like them/can eat them), they refuse to deviate from the set menu (i.e. They refused to put pineapple on my pizza), the ‘free’ continental breakfast very minimal/ordinary, coffee was ordinary, the service acumen overall was appalling, most of the restaurant staff were surly and obviously didn’t want to be there, hardly any of them smiled and you always had the feeling they were talking about you (in Samoan), they are not proactive by any means unless there is money involved, they constantly shoved the menus in our faces as soon as we sat down, staff looked ‘put out’ when you just wanted to sit down with a drink, one of the male waiters was very arrogant and disinterested in conversing to the point of rudeness, their ‘specials (?) ’ are on par with the other costly items on the menu. Room in need of some serious TLC, wood planking around edge of the roof was falling off, skylight perspex needs replacing, walls in dire need of painting, bamboo four-poster bed broken in two places and mended with yellow tape, rats and droppings everywhere, bed bugs made for an itchy sleep, the waterfall (?) shower was just a hose set into the lava rock wall, the advertised sunken bathtub, was not a bath but a sunken drain, there was a peep hole just under the shower (I filled it with toilet paper), bedding was stained.
Conclusion: Do not trust anyone, with anything at this resort! Lock up everything of value or take it with you. While at the spa I had 100WST stolen from my wallet (a metre from my head) and while at the pool on my last full day there, I had one of my hearing aids (2500AU) stolen from out of the room, I reported it, but it was another response of ‘you must have misplaced it’ These people are on sweat-factory wages (2-3 tala an hour) and are forced to be opportunists. Their customer service skills are minimal and if compared to Sinalei (the resort next door) non-existent! We had a choice between Coconuts and Sinalei and I unfortunately went with the wrong option. Resort is stuck in the 90’s, needs CCTV cameras around the communal areas and all walkways, staff in need of some serious customer service training, reduce the size of your menu and change it regularly, increase staff wages and they may show better incentive, enjoy coming to work and genuinely smile for your customers.
Tofa Coconuts – NEVER Again!

Absolute Bliss, what a great place
Very relaxing, rooms were comfortable and clean
The location is next level
If you want a peaceful getaway to recharge the batteries this is the place
Sand, water and location are faultless
If you want to go surfing or go to see the turtles and wildlife at your doorstep
Ask for Neil!
Hotel staff are so friendly - Tula was the best tour guide
OK and the girls on reception really made us feel welcome
The only thing I could fault was the food wasn't exceptional - our advice eat at the Samoan shed next door on the beach - Amazing Food and local prices for drinks as well - hotel is $$$$
The hotel is American owned and run - I found it strange they didn't let the staff have tips - if I want to leave a staff member a tip for the great customer service I don't want it going into a communal box that is opened once a year and seeing the Samoan wage starts at around $2 pH it doesn't seem fair - I guess this is my profession coming out
In all a great holiday
