Seafood Gourmet reviews
17Simple nice restaurant where you can find local food at a good price. It’s a bit weird that you have to order at the counter and pay everything you get before get it served. But overall we had a good experience.
Seafood Gourmet, your food never disappoints me. I have been coming to this place every time I visit Samoa. 35plus years. The restaurant itself needs a revamp in my opinion. It was not busy, but still a much anticipated wait for a basic order. Just an idea, tomato sauce should be complimentary, especially dropping close to $100 tala. In house greetings would make it memorable and welcoming. Sauces are in such small containers. All in all, the food took me back to memory lane. Appreciate it
Visited 2 weeks ago for late lunch. Have had people recommend this place. Ordered fish & chips $17tala and poke & oka ($10 each). Cheap.
Fish was fresh and generous chips. Oka was also nice. Poke was horrible.the texture of the fish had changed and i can only compare it to the inside of a jelly bean texture.hard gel. Maybe it was an old batch that had been sitting in its marinade way too long.
Absolutely LOVE this place! Best fish burgers and icecream. Dont know if I can enjoy cheesecake anywhere else now as the cheesecake here is literally the BEST i have ever tasted. This is our new Number 1 casual spot in Samoa and will definitely be back next time we are in the country.
Lovely staff and great service too!
This is the worst restaurant ever in our samoa holiday. Just stopping by to check it out but regretted wasting money and time here. Waiters were so unprofessional slow service and food are bad. Chips burned dry and we ddnt get enough cups and cutlery sets. There's 4 of us and Waiters kept going back and forth come back with nothing so I got up and got us what we need.
Please don't go to this restaurant.
Great, atmosphere, Great Service, Superb food. I ordered the flounder, salad and fries. %. Seki!
We went here for lunch and it was very busy with locals and tourists, we loved the very friendly Staff who enjoyed teaching us a few Samoan words
The food was good, great fish and chips and fish burger.
Nice and clean
First time at this place when in Samoa, the seafood gourmet was so overpriced, small portion and not good at all, the food was average and it took so long for your order, would not recommend it all
Seafood Gourmet is a humble dining experience.
Once you arrive you go to the back of the Restaurant to the register to order food.
I had the fish and chips with squid rings on the side. The food fits the criteria.
Also at the front of he Restaurant is a desert bar which is enjoyed by many locals, I enjoyed my ice cream here.
Absolutely the worse! This place has no idea of customer service! Shocking! Even though they forgot my order, there was not even an apology.from the kitchen, head of service or from any of the wait staff.il take my money elsewhere from now on. Thumbs up to both Izzies and Phat Burger oh and of course Forest Cafe!
Service here is terrible seems like no one wants to work. Didn't get Samoan hospitality from anyone that served us. Our brunch turned into dinner as we waited for 50mins for our food. People who ordered after us came & left with their orders. Finally when asked about our order they weren't apologetic at all even bringing our meals out they didn't apologise once. Our meals also came out in 2 lots. Our burgers 1st then by the time our fries came out we had all finished our burgers. Totally disappointed in the service, had the service been good I don't think we would have minded the wait. We've been here for 10 days on a family holiday and only got the best service everywhere so it sux that this is where our trip ended with.
In my last 4 recent trips to Samoa, I've always ate at Seafood Gourmet, and each time, someone has treated us there which means it is well known. The food is on point and satisfying. The prices to me seem a little more but the price of things in the entire island is a little outrageous to me.
This place is clean and the service is good. I tried their koko ice-cream creations and they are fantastic. July of 2019 I only tried one flavor but Feb 2020 I tried all their flavors and they all tasted awesome! I strongly recommend this place.
**One thing to note, due to the Vaisigano Bridge construction, if coming from Apia, you'll need to take a detour.
A staple place for inexpensive and well cooked fish meals and Samoan favourites Oka and Poke, when in stock. Pays to ask first.
The mangey cats can be annoying.
Ice cream and cheesecake bar also. Cheesecakes are large, although not to my liking as can be overly sugary/creamy. Good selection of ice creams.
Definitely the best fish and chips I've had here in Samoa. Sashimi was nice as well. Only wish there was more fish that came with the meal! Nevertheless very good.
Great local spot, we went 3 times while visiting Apia. The fish was juicy and left us wanting more.
Th restaurant that does one of my most favourite burgers - "The Works Burger".
Great food assisted by a great desserts/icecream bar within the same establishment.
Another highly recommended restaurant to go to if you are visiting or staying in Samoa.
We were seated outside which was sweltering but doable. There was no breeze or fans outside that night. Nice fairy lights though. Our waiter spoke minimal English and was only minimally interested. The garlic bread baguette was really stale, the grilled fish was overcooked and tough but had a nice salad with it and nice presentation, the fish and chips was good, and the squid rings and chips was just as advertised. The bacon burger was good, and the oka was great, also a steal at WST10. There was no poké tonight which we were very sad about! Also a few drinks had run out. A great place for cheap eats but maybe don't expect too much. Kool Shack is also at this venue and I've reviewed that separately
