Hi there
We were there for a few nights last week, the room was good, the air conditioning was great and the food and buffet was enough for all of us. We had a small issue as the room was one of the corner rooms in which is still considered a deluxe ocean view room although it faces the garden with a small side view of the ocean. We spoke to reception who then moved us into a better room so that was a good fix and we appreciate it! Maybe change the corner rooms to a different price or name for booking reasons? Just a few issues after this - the spa services were really nice but exceptionally hard to book. No one at reception seemed to put us through to the correct booking person for booking on the phone and when we asked in person at reception the same difficulty. Our towels were removed from our room and were not replaced.we rung reception who said someone would come but no one came back and we left the next day. Overall it's a beautiful place and the food was good but it would be useful to follow up on the above to further help ratings in future.
All the best Stacey

What a disappointment. From the moment we arrived we were met with incompetent and rude staff. 7 and a half hours for a room to become available issues reported about room not responded. Got the impression corporate guests were more important Drinks ordered at bar which never arrived. Restaurant booking which were not entered, only to be told on the night we had not booked. Linen not changed during 8 day stay. Charges made to our account which we were eventually able to prove were not ours. Too many issues to continue writing. Overall would not recommend anyone to stay. Very overrated.

We stayed here the week of my GFs wedding (14th - 17th Aug). We arrived about 6 hours before check-in but were able to leave our luggage with the concierge. What a foyer, what an entrance.clean, huge & inviting! I didn't get the name of the young man who greeted us but he was friendly & quick to get our luggage sorted. We went into town to kill time & walking back it poured down raining, we crossed paths with the young staffer who checked our luggage in  (just finished his shift) but as tired as he may have been, he remembered my name and offered his umbrella even if that meant walking home the rest of the way without. I didn't take it but was really grateful for it.
Our Ocean Room was perfect with a generous size bed, modern shower & private patio looking out to the ocean. After 31 hours awake, it was the epic room to be greeted with.
Monday karaoke was hilarious, crazy busy, & serving up the best courtesy snacks and most delicious frozen cocktails. Hats off to Anton, who made all our fresh fruit flavoured cocktails!
We enjoyed a variety of drinks at the bar, which, given the climate, is reasonably priced. The restaurant served up generous portioned meals (loved the chicken wrap) & cafe coffees were superb! We were never left unattended with table service & whatever we ordered was delivered within a decent amount of time.
Taumeasina has activities down to a "T. " Well advertised the night before with pamphlets (& yummy chips) delivered to your door at turn down time so you know what's on the next day.
Book your stay with complimentary buffet breakfast! Best time frame from 6: 30am to 10: 30am, for those who sleep in. The food changes up every day & is so plentiful. You have all tastes covered, including being treated to a typical Samoa breakfast dish such as koko alaisa YUM. We were so impressed with the spread, you will not be disappointed.
The crew, from activities, front of house, housekeeping, kitchen & wait staff, were next level. They were kind, patient, attentive, thorough & so friendly.
Never got bitten or crossed paths with any creepy crawlies, outdoor areas were always spotless, we always got a taxi straight away from the hotel by request, & the 'billing to room' service was very accurate.
Location wise, if you like a good walk, it's about 4km to the township or pay (on average) $7 to $10 tala.

We look forward to returning to Taumeasina. A big thanks to all staff but especially, Misa, Esther, Anton, Kirk, Gloria & Jeremiah for their professionalism, hard-working & kind work ethic.

Our room was upgraded and our shuttle guys were amazing. The hustle and bustle of a very happening and popular place, everyone always moving and so nice.

Beautiful location and staff. Close to town, which is convient. However, the only negative side is the smell of sweage. Overall, once that smell is fixed it’ll be 5 stars!

My family of 4 booked 1 night at Taumeasina at the end of our 10 day trip and we had a pleasant experience. The room was lovely, it was modern and it had everything we needed. The view was beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so can’t comment on this but the complimentary breakfast was nice, there was a good selection of food to choose from. My children enjoyed swimming in the 2 pools, the pools were clean. The location is great as it is close to Apia. I would highly recommend and may book here again on our next trip.

The place to be. Immaculate rooms. Complimentary breakfast is a winner and minor changes to breakfast daily.

Restaurants and bar especially the fishbowl cocktails are the best. Food is good and try T-Bone steak.damn

Service is awesome they'll look after you.

The view.wake up to ocean view every morning ️

Recently visited Taumeasina for dinner. The food is quite average considering the price you pay, and the bun of my burger was burnt. On a more positive note, the restaurant staff were very attentive and kind. The highlight of the night however was when an employee at the restaurant’s front desk attempted to scam me.

She gave me my receipt showing the dinner total for two people - $135. She then advised me before paying that there was 5.35% surcharge, to which I said was fine. She calculated the overall total which came to $182 (including the surcharge), which obviously did not sound right. After my father approached the desk and attempted to calculate the overall total himself (including the surcharge), the employee immediately started typing away on her calculator once again and quickly changed the total amount she had relayed to me, prior to my father approaching the desk. The total was now all of a sudden $142 and not the $182 she had mentioned to me earlier. She was not apologetic nor did she seem sympathetic for trying to take advantage of me. This employee was on shift at around 6-9pm on Sunday, 28 May 2023. I highly suggest Taumeasina speak to this employee and remind her of hotel policy and the value of honesty and integrity, to prevent this situation from occurring again.

I would advise hotel guests and visitors to be weary of what you are paying for and calculate if necessary, to ensure you are not being ripped off.

Paid $99 per adult and $45 per kids for the buffet and show for Fiafia Night. Group of 7 adults and 7 kids. Was by far the worst experience. I called to make a booking and spoke to a guys first, he advised the night was completely booked out. I then asked to leave my name and number should there be any cancellations. About an hour later a lady called to confirm my booking of 10 people. I asked what booking this was as I had not made a booking. She stated my name was down for a booking for 10 people. Let her know that was incorrect & asked if I could book for 14 people ONLY if the table we were seated at, the kids could see the show. She guaranteed there was a free table close to the show. Upon arrival, workers at the front desk were lovely however the buffet food was the absolute worst. No flavour, we were told after our first serving that some food had run out. The show was to minimal standard. Not only were there no seats available where the show were, we were told to sit and watch from the restaurant which was impossible so we stood by the doors and used our phones to zoom in to see the show. After paying $1400 for the night out, I can comfortably say this was a first and last. So unfortunate as we were all looking forward to such a good night out.

I'm not one to normally leave reviews but this place truly deserves the public feedback.
What could have been a very stressful couple of days due to a visa issue (being stranded at the airport with no accommodation, no car, 30 weeks pregnant and a 2 yr old!). It has actually been a seamless, easy and enjoyable time.
The staff have done nothing but go above and beyond for us. Friendly, accommodating, understanding. A team that actually care and communicate effectively.
The manager leads by example and is ever present for guests.
Whilst 'resort' stays aren't normally our thing, we have truly appreciated the modern amenities.
For anyone looking for a 'city' Samoan stay, I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Love the place, swimming pools, private beach with snorkelling and kayaking gear. Daily activities available to participate. 3 restaurants and food was great. 45min-1 hr from the airport. Cocktails were great. Room service available as well.

The most beautiful and amazing resort by far in the island of Samoa. Definitely worth its price for every type of room. Although that one star is removed for the security staff, had experienced the fact they had spoken in a not so well-mannered way as we were just walking by with some friends early in the morning, it is worth mentioning that room service was awful too, if I hadn't called in again they wouldn't even bother to come. Please take this into consideration Taumeasina and discipline your staff! Other than that, great experience!

Loved it, loved Samoa and loved the people. A great spot with so much to see and do whilst wearing shorts, sunglasses and ya thongs?

We stay here often. Taumeasina Island Resort is Samoa's best 4 star resort. It's situated on the north coast of Upolu, just 5mins from the capital Apia. Taumeasina has its own private beach and is the only resort in Apia with complete ocean frontage. The resort also has two beautiful swimming pools plus a terrific bar and restaurant. With super friendly management and staff it is always a pleasure to stay here. Also, being so close to town all the best restaurants, coffee shops, clubs and bars Samoa has to offer are only a hop, skip and a jump away.

Restaurant service was really poor. Dined here on the 19th of December 2022 our dinner was all mixed up and we waited over 2hrs for food and the food came out and some of us have left.gave them benefit of the doubt to dine again on the 26th of December and even worse. It's now 3hrs going on 4 and our tables dinner is coming out in drips and drabs.absolutely poor service. Totally avoid especially for the price you pay.it's not worth it.
Had to put a star to move to next page but we do not rate it at all!

Good resort for the area. Parking is easy, beach and pool were nice. Dinner service could be better, had to go up to the bar to order food and drinks every time and couldn't get any response from the staff.

The resort itself was quite nice with a good pool and beach area. The biggest problem that I experienced was that it seemed to be set up as a local watering spot with parties every night which of itself isn’t an issue but the apartments are so close, you can hear the karaoke word for word in your room with ear plugs in. I moved rooms to further away but still needed ear plugs to sleep at night as the bass went through the apartment block. On the final night I was there, there were a lot of police at the resort for the Friday night party they had. I found it a bit confronting for what I thought would be a relaxing resort holiday.
